Terms of Business

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Shepherd’s Table and any individual or organisation booking our private chef services. By confirming a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Our Services

Shepherd’s Table offers bespoke private chef services, providing custom menu packages for individuals and businesses at a venue of the client’s choosing. Services are subject to availability and must be booked in advance..

2. Booking and Payment Terms

● A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.

● The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event date.

● Failure to make full payment on time may result in cancellation of the booking, with the deposit retained.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

● Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event will not incur further charges, but the deposit will be retained.

● Cancellations within 7 days of the event will be charged in full.

● In the unlikely event we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, any payments made (including deposits) will be refunded in full.

4. Client Responsibilities

● You are responsible for providing a safe, clean, and suitable environment for food preparation and service.

● We accept no liability for damage to your property, equipment, or venue, except where such damage results from our proven negligence.

● You must notify us of any kitchen equipment, access, or venue restrictions in advance of the event.

5. Food Allergies and Hygiene

● Shepherd’s Table is fully trained in food hygiene and allergy awareness and operates in accordance with relevant UK food safety laws.

● It is your responsibility to inform us in writing of any allergies or dietary requirements at least 7 days before the event.

● While every effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment.

6. Insurance

We carry full public liability and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to our business operations.

7. Limitation of Liability

● Our liability to you is limited to the total amount paid for our services.

● We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

● Nothing in these Terms shall limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance of our services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, illness, accident, severe weather, transport disruption, or government restrictions.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

10. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be published on request or via our official communication channels.
